Business email deserves clear answers. These are product facts and current boundaries, so you can decide what to test and what to confirm before moving your team.
Separate roles and verified domains
Members are restricted to their own mailbox. Workspace owners and admins have organization-wide mail access under the current roles. Each added domain must pass ownership and required mail-record checks before activation.
Use individual accounts, assign administration roles only to people who should have that wider mail access, and review access when responsibilities change. Separate organisations when their ownership or privacy boundaries require it.
Operational access has a specific purpose
Global platform mail traces expose routing metadata for investigation. Accessing message content through that platform trace uses a separate break-glass workflow that requires a reason and records the access before returning content. This is distinct from an owner's or admin's ordinary organization-wide mail access.
Synk operates the control plane and the open-source Stalwart mail core. This is not a zero-access or end-to-end-encrypted email claim. Include any contractual privacy or support-access requirements in your onboarding discussion.
What the pilot does and does not promise
The current pilot provides custom-domain mail, browser access, workspace controls, and DNS-health visibility. Mailbox quotas are currently capped at 2 GiB each. Import tooling, self-serve alias management, and paid subscriptions are not presented as available launch features.
Made in India describes product development. Indian data residency, certification, encryption-at-rest guarantees, retention commitments, and uptime SLAs are not advertised here. Ask for the deployment facts and written terms needed by your organisation before adoption.
